I prefer to shoot on location with natural light. Parks and natural outdoor locations are always a favourite, but don't be afraid to try more urban settings. You'd be amazed at the interesting textures that come from an unorthodox backdrop. Consider your family style and what places make you the happiest. That could be curled up on the family bed or traipsing through the woods or even lingering over hot beverages at your favourite coffee shop.
